About Us
Local Farm
Homegrown Farm has been operating for over 10 years in Lapeer, Michigan by the Beaudet family. We believe true satisfaction comes from the work of our own hands and enjoy working towards self sufficiency on our homestead growing, making and preserving everything we can. We are always adding new skills so be sure to come back often to see what we’re up to. We are commited to living cyclically, guided by the seasons, and striving for self-sufficiency one jar of honey and one row of vegetables at a time.
Farm Practices
Growing with Passion and Dedication
Our practices are rooted in sustainable stewardship, embracing the seasonal cycle to achieve true self-sufficiency. We focus on diversity—from cultivating our small orchard and raising chickens, to harvesting our own maple syrup and honey, and respectfully utilizing locally sourced venison. Readers will want to follow along for honest, practical tutorials on mastering all six preservation methods (including freeze-drying and pressure canning), seasonal garden-to-table recipes, and making their own natural household and body products from the bounty of our land.
At Homegrown Farm, we celebrate the art of living simply and authentically. Our commitment to nurturing the land and our community is reflected in every endeavor we undertake. From crafting homemade remedies to exploring the depths of seasonal flavors, we invite you to be part of our journey. Discover the joy of connecting with nature through hands-on experiences that inspire creativity and sustainability. Whether it’s learning to preserve your garden’s bounty or embracing the beauty of foraged ingredients, our mission is to empower you to cultivate a life rich in flavor and purpose. Join us as we delve into the heart of homegrown living, where every moment is an opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive together.
